Communication is vital throughout the entire design process. I will work with you in the development of your site, every step of the way. The following is a seven step process that will take us through the completion of the project. We can move through it at a pace that is most comfortable to you. We won't move on until you are happy with the decisions that we make together. (Some of these steps may not apply to personal or family websites.) Before we even begin the Design Process it is important to answer the questions on the Things to Consider page.

Market Analysis
In order to create an effective design and layout, we'll need to work together to examine your current market situation. Your expertise in your industry will guide us in our design decisions.

Accessibility / Usability Study
Once I understand the needs of your market, we'll determine what should be included in your site and how to simplify navigation. Your input is essential and will aid in the quality and productivity of the site (you are the one that knows your business the best).

Prototype
Here's where we bring everything together. I'll work with you to develop a layout, design appropriate graphics, and finalize an efficient navigation structure. Then I'll create a prototype of the site. After reviewing and approving the prototype, we will move on to production.

Production
After you approve the prototype, I'll start turning it into a reality. This step involves optimizing graphics for web viewing, coding the pages into different web languages based on your needs, and testing the site every step of the way for quality assurance.

Go Live
Once the site is done and you've approved its final form, it is time to go "live." Here's where we make the site accessible to anyone on the Internet.

Site Promotion
Once your site is online, we can start attracting visitors. All of my web design projects include free submission to major search engines which is just a small way to begin your site's marketing efforts. Additional promotion efforts (Search Engine Optimization - SEO, for example) are available for an additional fee.

Continuous Support
Once your site is up and running, I will continue to provide you valuable and useful support. On going ad hoc support or complete website maintenance and content management is provided on a fee basis.
